Senior Server Administrator - Hybrid Infrastructure (On-Prem, Azure, AVD, Windows 365)

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Server Administrator to lead the management of our hybrid server infrastructure. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 365 Cloud PCs. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a passion for delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/2025) across on-prem and Azure platforms.

- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines and related services (e.g., Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, Azure Update Management).

- Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host

pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, and scaling plans.

- Manage Windows 365 Cloud PCs, including provisioning policies, user assignments, and performance monitoring.

- Hypervisor administration (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware), including provisioning of virtual machines,

performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of virtual environments.

- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI.

- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across all environments.

- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce policies and respond to vulnerabilities.

- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for hybrid workloads.

- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.

Required Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in server administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.

- Proven experience managing both on-prem and Azure-based virtual machines.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 Cloud PC administration.

- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server OS.

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.

- Familiarity with hybrid networking, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty).

- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for device management.

- Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise change management.
