About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications based on business requirements. The role involves custom development, technical enhancements, debugging, performance optimization, and integration of SAP solutions with other systems.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP in line with business and functional requirements.

- Work on Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF) objects.

- Develop and maintain ALV reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, user exits, customer exits, BAdIs, and enhancement frameworks.

- Develop and troubleshoot interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and other SAP integration technologies.

- Debug existing programs, perform root cause analysis, and resolve technical issues.

- Optimize ABAP programs for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, transport management, and deployment activities.

- Prepare technical design documents and maintain documentation for custom developments and enhancements.

- Support production issues, incident resolution, and ongoing SAP application maintenance.

Requirements :

- 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and implementation or support projects.

- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including reports, internal tables, modularization techniques, and Open SQL.

- Experience with RICEF developments, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

- Hands-on experience with enhancements such as BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, and enhancement spots.

- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies, including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and web services.

- Experience with debugging, performance tuning, code optimization, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

- Understanding of SAP application architecture, transport management, and development lifecycle practices.

- Ability to work closely with functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA ABAP development, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and SAP Fiori integration is preferred.
