Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer Ingestion Platform to design, implement, and support scalable data ingestion pipelines.

The role involves working with modern data integration tools such as Fivetran, HVR, Astronomer (Airflow), and Python to ingest data from various enterprise systems and enable reliable data movement across the organizations data ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development, CDC-based data ingestion, pipeline monitoring, and integration with orchestration frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran ETL.

- Configure and manage Fivetran connectors, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Implement and support Change Data Capture (CDC) and replication-based ingestion using Fivetran HVR.

- Manage HVR Channel configuration and lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.

- Integrate ingestion pipelines with Astronomer (Airflow) for workflow orchestration and scheduling.

- Develop Python-based ingestion components, including :

1. Custom SDK-based integrations

2. API-based connectors for non-standard data sources

- Enable data ingestion from enterprise systems such as :

1. Oracle

2. SQL Server

3. DB2

4. Mainframe-based data sources

- Monitor data pipelines and resolve ingestion failures or performance issues.

- Perform basic pipeline optimization and reliability improvements.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for ingestion processes, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6- 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or ELT development.

- Hands-on experience with Fivetran and Fivetran HVR, including connector configuration and troubleshooting.

- Strong understanding of HVR Channel management and replication mechanisms.

- Experience in Python programming for data ingestion, integration, and automation.

- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Astronomer (Airflow).

- Experience working with relational databases such as :

1. Oracle

2. SQL Server

3. DB2

- Understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC) concepts and data replication strategies
