Roles and Responsibilities :

- Lead development and maintenance of AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, and COBOL400

- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and code reviews to team members

- Design, manage, and optimize DB2 databases on the AS400 platform

- Collaborate with business and banking stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

- Ensure application performance, security, and compliance with regulatory standards

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

- Support application enhancements, upgrades, and technical documentation

Job Requirements :

- 6-9 years of experience in software development using RPG and Control Language (CL) on AS400

- Bachelors degree in relevant IT field

- Experience working on Silverlake/AS400 loan systems in a banking or financial services environment.

- Proficient with DB2 and understanding of data structures and file handling on AS400.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.

- Experience with SDLC methodologies and change management processes.

- Knowledge in SQL

- Knowledge of Aldon / Arcad for software deployment automation on AS400.

- Familiarity with SFTP for secure file transfer.

- Experience with MQ for inter-system communications.

- Exposure to Direct Connect and external integrations.

- Understanding of release management and version control.

- Background in quality assurance and test support activities.

- Knowledge in Control-M
