About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer with strong expertise in IBM i / AS400 development, RPG, CL, DB2, and SQL. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application development, maintenance, enhancement, troubleshooting, and production support in an AS400 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the IBM i / AS400 platform.

- Develop and maintain programs using RPG/RPGLE.

- Write and maintain CL/CLLE programs and job control processes.

- Develop and optimize database queries using DB2 for i and SQL.

- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Perform application modifications, enhancements, and bug fixes.

- Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

- Develop and maintain batch jobs, interfaces, and application workflows.

- Work with existing legacy applications and perform code analysis and modernization activities where required.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.

- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and other technical teams.

- Support application deployments and production releases.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and application support procedures.

- Provide production support and resolve critical issues within defined SLAs.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM i / AS400 development.

- Proficiency in RPG/RPGLE programming.

- Good knowledge of CL/CLLE.

- Strong experience with DB2 for i.

- Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

- Experience with AS400 application development, maintenance, and production support.

- Strong understanding of batch processing and job scheduling.

- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting AS400 applications.

- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and testing processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
