Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled AS400 Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, other developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality code. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our core business processes, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to our overall success.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain AS400 applications using RPG, CL, and related technologies to meet business requirements and improve system functionality.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

- Design, code, test, and debug AS400 programs, adhering to coding standards and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AS400 applications with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AS400 applications, resolving issues promptly and effectively to minimize disruptions to business operations.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the development team.

- Document technical specifications, code changes, and system configurations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future reference and maintenance.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in AS400 development, including RPG (RPGLE, RPG Free), CL, and DDS.

- Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain AS400 applications based on business requirements.

- Experience with database concepts and SQL programming on the IBM iSeries platform.

- Familiarity with LANSA development tools and techniques is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
