We're looking for an expert, hands on GenAI Solution Architect to design, deliver, and scale GenAI solutions. You'll own end to end solution architecture and production grade deployment-ensuring technical integrity, fit for purpose designs, and the right total cost of ownership.

You'll partner with Portfolio/Segment Architects, product teams, Data/Platform Engineering, Security & Risk, and business stakeholders to turn use case opportunities into resilient solutions that comply with Shell standards and reference architectures. Apart for Gen AI, proven experience with Cloud especially Azure, ReactJS, NodeJS, microservices and Databricks is a must.

Key accountabilities :

Architecture & delivery :

- Own the solution architecture, covering Business Process, Data, Application, Technical, and Information Security views; document designs using standard HLD templates and ArchiMate, and steer designs through the Architecture Review Board (ARB).

- Translate business objectives into evaluated solution options (build/configure/consume), recommending patterns such as RAG, fine tuning, agentic workflows, and predictive ML, aligned to our platforms (Azure AI Foundry, Databricks Mosaic AI, Copilot Studio etc).

- Lead hands on prototyping (POCs/experiments) and harden successful patterns into operational solutions with robust observability, guardrails, and lifecycle management.

Engineering excellence :

- Define and enforce non functional requirements (performance, reliability, cost, security/privacy, compliance) and ensure production grade MLOps/LLMOps (CI/CD, feature stores, prompt/version management, rollback strategies, blue/green, canary).

- Guide teams on data readiness (curation, governance, lineage), vector indexing, prompt & tool orchestration, and model selection (including upgrade paths-e.g., GPT 4.0 - 4.1) with backwards compatibility and impact assessment.

Governance, safety & risk :

- Embed Responsible AI controls, data minimisation, PII handling, RBAC, context isolation, prompt safety, and content filtering; apply the Vendor Trust Framework and Security & Risk checklists for GenAI SaaS where relevant.

- Anticipate and mitigate platform risks (e.g., content ingestion reliability for RAG solutions) and coordinate incident response with platform owners.
