- Manage and maintain VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV and other virtualization environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
- Perform advanced system administration tasks including kernel tuning, performance optimization, and security hardening.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, SUSE, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) in physical and virtual environments.
- Basic knowledge of Managing and maintaining SAN, ISCSI and NAS( NFS & CIFS) environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform system administration tasks including user management, permissions, and security hardening.
- Manage large-scale deployments, clustering, and high-availability (HA) configurations.
- Configure and maintain storage systems (LVM, RAID, SAN/NAS) and optimize I/O performance.
- Implement network configurations (VLAN, bonding, routing, DNS, NTP) and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Plan and execute P2V & V2V migrations for Linux and Windows servers across data centers.
- Perform pre-migration assessments, including hardware compatibility, application dependencies, and resource sizing.
- Utilize migration tools such as VMware vCenter Converter, PlateSpin, Nutanix move or equivalent tool for seamless migration.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
- Ensure patch management, OS upgrades, and compliance with security standards.
- Support critical applications and databases hosted on Linux servers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application deployment, troubleshooting, and migration projects.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions.
- Document architecture, processes, and maintain configuration standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Configure and manage services such as Apache, Nginx, SSH, FTP, and cron jobs.
- Work on automation and scripting (Shell, Bash, Python) for routine tasks.
