Job Summary :

We are looking for a Principal AI Engineer to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and Generative AI solutions.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise, deep architectural ownership, and the ability to influence AI direction through technical leadership, roadmap definition, and governance.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Ownership & Architecture :

- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of AI / ML / GenAI solutions.

- Make key decisions on model selection, frameworks, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.

- Design scalable systems using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and AI pipelines.

- Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.

Hands-on AI Development :

- Actively contribute to building, optimizing, and deploying AI solutions.

- Implement and refine LLM-based applications, including :

a. Prompt engineering.

b. RAG architectures.

c. Fine-tuning and evaluation.

d. Agentic workflows.

- Troubleshoot production AI issues related to accuracy, latency, and performance.

AI Roadmap & Strategy :

- Define and contribute to the AI roadmap aligned with business and product goals.

- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases.

- Guide AI initiatives from PoC to production and scale.

AI Governance & Standards :

- Establish AI governance frameworks covering data usage, model and prompt versioning, monitoring, and security.

- Implement safeguards for data privacy, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices.

- Support compliance and audit requirements for AI systems.

Collaboration & Influence :

- Act as a technical authority across AI initiatives.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Business stakeholders.

- Review AI designs, architectures, and implementations.

- Mentor engineers through technical guidance and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10 to 15 years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or Applied Machine Learning.

- Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based systems.

- Proficiency in Python and ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).

- Experience with RAG, vector databases, and AI evaluation techniques.

- Strong cloud experience on AWS / Azure / GCP.

- Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, monitoring, Docker, Kubernetes.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with agentic AI or multi-agent systems.

- Knowledge of AI governance, ethics, and compliance.

- Experience building AI-first or SaaS platforms.
