Description :

We are looking for a WordPress Developer with strong frontend fundamentals and 1- 2 years of experience in WordPress core, custom theme & plugin development, and modern block-based development. The candidate should have hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, performance-optimized, and scalable WordPress websites.

Key Responsibilities :

WordPress & Backend Development :

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins

- Work deeply with WordPress Core, hooks (actions & filters), and APIs

- Create and customize Gutenberg / Block Editor blocks

- Implement Custom Post Types (CPTs), taxonomies, and custom fields

- Ensure code follows WordPress coding standards and best practices

Frontend Development (HTML, CSS, JS) :

- Convert designs (Figma / XD / PSD) into responsive HTML/CSS layouts

- Write clean, semantic HTML5 and scalable CSS (BEM / utility-based preferred)

- Implement interactive features using vanilla JavaScript (and jQuery where required)

- Optimize frontend assets :

1. Minification of CSS & JS

2. Conditional loading of scripts & styles

3. Reducing render-blocking resources

- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

Debugging & Troubleshooting :

- Troubleshoot and fix WordPress issues including :

1. Plugin & theme conflicts

2. PHP errors and warnings

3. Frontend layout and JS issues

- Debug issues using browser dev tools and WordPress debugging tools

Performance & Optimization :

- Optimize WordPress sites for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, TBT)

- Improve page speed by optimizing :

1. Script and style enqueueing

2. Images and fonts

3. Database queries

- Ensure SEO-friendly markup and performance-focused frontend structure

Hosting & Server Knowledge :

- Experience with managed and cloud hosting platforms such as :

1. AWS

2. Cloudways

- Basic server and deployment knowledge :

1. Using SSH for server access

2. File management via FTP/SFTP

3. Domain, DNS, and SSL configuration

- Handling staging, production, and backups

Required Skills :

Technical Skills :

- PHP (WordPress-focused development)

- WordPress Core, Theme & Plugin Development

- Gutenberg / Block Editor / Page builder

- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6 basics)

- MySQL & WordPress database structure

- Git (basic version control)

- REST API integration

Good to Have (Bonus Skills) :

- WooCommerce customization experience

- Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, npm)

- Basic understanding of security best practices

- Experience with or custom block alternatives

Soft Skills :

- Strong debugging and analytical mindset
