Job Title : Application Support Engineer.
Location : Mumbai / Remote.
Job Type : Contract.
Duration : 6 Months.
About the Role :
Were looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in supporting cloud-based applications hosted on AWS and built using modern technologies like Node.js, Python (Django), React, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with deep API and database troubleshooting skills and a passion for improving system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide advanced technical support for cloud applications hosted on AWS.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in applications built with Python (Django), Node.js, React, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Troubleshoot RESTful API issues and monitor system performance.
- Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to identify and resolve application bugs and incidents.
- Maintain and update support documentation and troubleshooting guides.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident management best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation for high-priority production support.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of application support and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, API Gateway).
- Proficiency in debugging applications using Python, Django, Node.js, React.
- Deep understanding of MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs and API-level issue resolution.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Version control knowledge using Git.
- Strong database troubleshooting expertise.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- AWS certification (Developer or Solutions Architect preferred).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to open-source application hosting and support.
- Knowledge of cloud application security best practices.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Sentry, Datadog, or New Relic.
