Application Support Engineer - Incident Management

About the Role :

We are looking for Application Support Engineers with 24 years of hands-on experience in Linux, SQL, and production support. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support business-critical applications. Experience in Capital Markets, Trading, or BFSI will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide day-to-day application support, including analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

- Monitor production systems for performance, stability, and errors.

- Handle incident management, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact.

- Collaborate with development, BA, QA, and infrastructure teams for deployments and fixes.

- Extract and analyze log files to identify root causes.

- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and issue logs.

- Perform health checks, system monitoring, and performance optimization.

- Provide on-call support when required.

Mandatory Skills:

- Linux (Strong working knowledge)

- Oracle / MS SQL

- Strong understanding of SQL DML statements

- Application & infrastructure monitoring skills

- Log file extraction and troubleshooting

- Experience supporting production environments

Preferred Skills:

- Exposure to Capital Markets / Trading / BFSI

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Effective verbal and written communication

- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
