We are looking for an experienced API Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs.

The role focuses on backend application development, workflow orchestration, and system integrations while collaborating closely with internal teams and customers to deliver robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful and event-driven APIs for backend applications and integrations.

- Build and manage workflow-based integrations using platforms such as tray.io, or similar tools like Pega, Appian, or equivalent integration frameworks.

- Participate in API design discussions, High-Level Design (HLD), Application Interface Design, and implement Low-Level Designs (LLD).

- Develop backend services that are scalable, secure, and performant, following best coding practices.

- Work with relational databases such as Snowflake, MySQL, and PostgreSQL for data modeling, querying, and optimization.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment of APIs across environments.

- Integrate APIs with internal systems, third-party services, and customer platforms.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and deployment of API services.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely fixes.

- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver integration solutions.

- Create and maintain technical documentation including API specs, integration flows, and deployment guides.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend or API development.

- Strong experience designing and building REST APIs and backend services.

- Hands-on experience with workflow / integration tools such as tray.io, Pega, Appian, or similar platforms.

- Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

- Experience working with AWS services and cloud-based application deployments.

- Strong expertise in relational databases, including writing complex SQL queries, schema design, and data optimization.

- Good understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-driven attitude.

Good to Have :

- Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or similar CI/CD and container platforms.

- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.

- Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools.

- Exposure to ticketing systems and production support environments with defined SLAs.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-based integrations
