About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Ansible Administrator to manage, support, and optimize our automation environments built on the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). The role involves maintaining Linux-based infrastructure, enhancing automation workflows, ensuring CI/CD integration, and implementing robust monitoring solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable automation operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, debug, optimize, and maintain Ansible Playbooks, roles, inventories, and automation workflows.
- Design and implement automation for configuration management, provisioning, patching, and routine operational tasks.
- Manage Ansible Controller / Tower, Execution Environments, and job templates.
- Administer and maintain Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) hosting AAP components.
- Perform system hardening, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Write and troubleshoot Python scripts to enhance automation capabilities and integrate tools.
- Work closely with CI/CD pipelines and support automation integration using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools.
- Support and administer PostgreSQL databases used by AAP and connected applications.
- Monitor DB performance, manage backups, and ensure availability.
- Implement and maintain monitoring using :
1. Prometheus
2. Grafana
3. OpenTelemetry (OTel)
4. AppDynamics
- Create dashboards, alerts, and insights for automation health and infrastructure performance.
- Work with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to ensure stable and compliant automation operations.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, playbooks, automation workflows, runbooks, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Proven experience managing Ansible Automation Platform / Ansible Tower.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration (RHEL preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in Python scripting and automation.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OTel, or AppDynamics.
- Understanding of Git, YAML, REST APIs, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
