Job Summary :


The Pre-Sales Resource will be a key member of the Sales Team, responsible for understanding customer requirements and proposing suitable technical solutions.


The role will bridge customer needs with internal solution design and development teams, contributing to both enhancements of existing products and the design of new solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


- Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements.


- Prepare and own the Customer Requirement Document (CRD).


- Develop High-Level Design (HLD) for proposed solutions.


- Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM) and effort estimations.


- Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in line with customer expectations.


- Identify and document risks, assumptions, and dependencies.


- Propose the implementation approach and solution roadmap.


- Provide technical inputs and recommendations to the Solution Design and Development teams for:


- Enhancements to existing product


- Design and development of new solutions


- Support technical discussions, presentations, and solution walkthroughs during pre-sales engagements.

- Clear communication and presentation skills


Technical Skills :


- Core Networking Fundamentals including IP routing (Static, BGP, OSPF), Switching, MPLS, Last-mile technologies (fiber, wireless, RF), DNS etc.


- Understanding of network performance parameters like availability, latency, packet loss, jitter etc.


- Wi-Fi technology including 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz bands, Channel width, Interference, SNR, RSSI, Heat map, Client density planning, WPA, MIMO, Captive portal, Radius.


- Awareness of Wi-Fi infrastructure solution providers like Cisco, Ruckus, TP-Link, Grandstream etc.


- SD-WAN technology including Underlay vs overlay, Edge/controller/ orchestrator roles, Zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), Hub-spoke vs full mesh, Application-aware routing, SLA-based path selection, Load balancing across links, IPSec tunnels, Encryption basics (AES, SHA), Firewall (NGFW) and UTM integration.


- Network Security concepts Firewall, IDS, IPS, Web filtering, content filtering, NATTING etc.


- SD-WAN solution provider awareness like Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela / Meraki), Fortinet, Versa, VMware SD-WAN etc.


- Awareness of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP and SaaS platforms like O365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom.


Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline


- 610 years of relevant experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting roles.


- Proven experience in understanding customer requirements and proposing end-to-end technical solutions.


- Prior exposure to solution design, estimations, and technical documentation is mandatory.


- Experience in networking, communications, IT infrastructure, or enterprise solutions will be an added advantage.


- Relevant technical or solution architecture certifications will be a plus.
