Role Overview :

As an SDE 3 Android Developer, you will serve as a technical anchor for our mobile engineering initiatives, taking ownership of the end-to-end development lifecycle for our flagship applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to translate complex business requirements into seamless, high-performance mobile experiences. This role is pivotal in defining our mobile strategy, ensuring that our applications remain performant, secure, and maintainable as we scale our user base across the globe.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement modular, scalable mobile applications using Kotlin and Java to ensure long-term maintainability and performance.

- Lead the design and integration of complex Android SDK components to enhance app functionality and user engagement.

- Conduct rigorous code reviews and establish engineering best practices to maintain high standards of code quality across the development team.

- Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks in memory management, network latency, and UI rendering to provide a fluid user experience.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on mobile architecture patterns to foster a culture of continuous learning and technical growth.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and deploying high-traffic Android applications with a deep understanding of the Android SDK and its underlying framework.

- Proven ability to architect complex mobile systems using modern design patterns such as MVVM or MVI, ensuring clean and testable codebases.

- Strong proficiency in both Kotlin and Java, with the ability to refactor legacy code and implement modern language features effectively.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment.

- Ability to thrive in a distributed team setup, managing tasks independently while maintaining high levels of productivity and alignment with project milestones.

- A minimum of 3 to 8 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with a track record of delivering high-quality software in fast-paced environments.
