AML Testing Engineer

Description :

Analysis & Interpretation :

- Understand business requirements and regulatory compliance needs to design effective testing strategies.

Test Design & Execution :

1. Transaction monitoring rules

2. Alert generation, scoring, and workflow validation

3. Data ingestion and mapping

4. Customer risk categorization

5. Operational and regulatory reporting

Advanced SQL Testing :

- Verify CRC (Customer Risk Categorization) risk scoring logic and test alert prioritization methodology.

Defect Management & Reporting :

- Track the resolution of issues through to closure.

- Maintain detailed documentation of defects across all testing phases and present findings to stakeholders.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to update them on progress, issues, and risk mitigation.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Regression Testing :

- Conduct regression testing to confirm that new updates or changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.

Automation & Process Improvement :

- Drive process improvements and automation within the testing environment using advanced SQL queries, Excel functions, and VBA macros.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

Experience :

- Strong knowledge of AML regulations and testing techniques.

- Proven experience with SQL for data validation, transformation testing, and rule logic verification.

- Experience with JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools.

Skills :

- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions) and VBA macros.

- Strong understanding of AML transaction monitoring, alert generation, and risk scoring processes.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
