Job description:

SAP ABAP Consultant:

An SAP ABAP Consultant designs, develops, tests, and maintains custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming, translating business needs into technical specs for functional modules, ensuring performance, providing support, and collaborating with functional teams for implementations, often involving modern tech like Fiori/RAP while managing documentation and ensuring quality through testing and code reviews.

Key Responsibilities of SAP ABAP Technical Consultant:

- Development: Code, debug, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, forms, and enhancements.

- Requirements Translation: Convert functional specifications and business requirements into detailed technical designs and code.

- Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users

- Testing: Perform unit, integration (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Performance Tuning: Optimize existing code and database queries for better system performance.

- Support: Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

- Mentoring: Guide junior developers on technical aspects.

- Modern Tech: Develop Fiori apps, use CDS views, and RAP models (depending on role).

Job requirements and skills:

1. Experience : A total min experience of 5+ years in an IT service/consulting company.

2. Implementation Experience : Minimum 1/2 E2E implementation experience in SAP ECC/ S/4HANA Public / Private cloud is required. Project experience in conversion to S/4HANA is preferred.

3. Support Experience : Minimum 2 client AMS project experiences in an structured SLA framework is required in SAP ECC/ SAP S/4HANA.

4. Other Project Experiences : Working experiences in enhancements, rollouts, and migration projects is preferred.

5. SAP Certification : Valid SAP Certification is desirable.
