We are seeking an experienced Alteryx Developer with over 7 years of hands-on expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and deploying workflows for enterprise data integration, automation, and analytics. The ideal candidate should have strong data engineering skills, a solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices, and experience working with cloud data platforms and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain Alteryx workflows, analytic apps, and macros to support business data processing needs.
- Build scalable ETL pipelines and automate ingestion, transformation, and validation processes using Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server/Gallery.
- Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient Alteryx solutions.
- Optimize workflows for performance, reusability, and scalability; troubleshoot workflow failures and ensure end-to-end reliability.
- Implement best practices for data quality, cleansing, enrichment, and governance within Alteryx.
- Integrate Alteryx workflows with SQL databases, cloud data warehouses ( Snowflake/ Redshift/ BigQuery), APIs, and third-party systems.
- Develop reusable components such as custom macros, connectors, templates, and automation frameworks.
- Work closely with reporting teams (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) to prepare high-quality analytical datasets.
- Manage workflow scheduling, version control, and deployment via Alteryx Server or Git-based CICD pipelines.
- Document technical specifications, workflow logic, and operational procedures; support production issues and enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience :
- with over 7 years of professional experience as an Alteryx Developer / Alteryx ETL Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer, including complex workflows, iterative macros, batch macros, and analytic apps.
- Experience working with Alteryx Server for scheduling, automation, and collaboration.
- Excellent proficiency in SQL (joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Experience integrating with at least one cloud data platform : Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure SQL/Synapse, or GCP BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
- Ability to build and optimize large-scale data workflows with performance and reliability considerations.
- Familiarity with APIs, JSON, XML, Python, or R for custom automation or connectors (preferred).
- Experience in Agile, DevOps, or CI/CD environments.
Good to Have :
- Alteryx Designer Core/Advanced Certification.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik for downstream data consumption.
- Exposure to automation tools (Airflow, ADF, DBT) or cloud ETL tools (Fivetran/ Matillion /Informatica).
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
