The Role :
This is a high-impact, client-facing engineering role. You will be the technical authority on healthcare interoperability, responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical interfaces between our AI platform and our clients' RIS (Radiology Information Systems) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) landscapes.
Beyond technical execution, you are a process champion. We need someone who hates technical debt and loves documentation, standardized naming conventions, and proactive monitoring. You will be the bridge between our technology and the diverse technical environments of our clinic and radiology center partners.
Key Responsibilities :
- RIS/EHR Integration Architecture : Own the full development lifecycle of HL7 interfaces (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU) using interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect/NextGen Connect, Rhapsody, or Cloverleaf).
- Clinic Consultations : Lead technical discovery calls with Clinic IT teams and RIS/EHR vendors. You must be able to translate complex integration logic into clear business outcomes for stakeholders.
- Process Engineering : Audit existing integration workflows and implement best-in-class engineering practices (version control for transforms, automated testing, and standardized error handling).
- Proactive Optimization : Don't wait for a ticket to break. Identify bottlenecks in data flow (e.g., report delays or scheduling sync issues) and build the automation or process change to fix them.
- Maintenance & Scalability : Ensure all interfaces are built for the long haul. You will create the documentation and monitoring frameworks that make our integrations easy to support and scale across hundreds of clinic sites.
Who You Are :
- Radiology/Clinical Expert : You have a deep understanding of HL7 message structures and the specific nuances of how RIS and EHR systems (such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or industry-specific RIS) exchange diagnostic data.
- Client-Centric : You are as comfortable in a code editor as you are on a call with a Clinic Director. You can push back gracefully when a customers request compromises engineering integrity.
- The "Standard" Setter : You believe that "it works" isn't good enough. You strive for "its maintainable, documented, and follows the process."
- Self-Starter : You don't just follow a runbook; you write the runbook. You are expected to proactively bring in process changes to improve our deployment speed and data quality.
Technical Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in Healthcare Integration/Interface Engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency with Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) or similar engines.
- Deep experience working with RIS/EHR data flows (Order/Result loops, Scheduling, and Patient Demographics).
- Strong command of JavaScript (for custom transformers) and SQL.
- Experience with FHIR APIs and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
- Ability to work US Business Hours from our Bengaluru facility.
