Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced ALM / Siemens Polarion Technical Lead to drive enterprise-wide ALM transformation and lead the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Siemens Polarion ALM solutions. The role will work closely with Product Engineering, IT, Quality, Compliance, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and other business functions to deliver scalable ALM solutions aligned with enterprise technology and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the enterprise-wide ALM transformation strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.

- Own the delivery and governance of enterprise Polarion ALM solutions, including implementation priorities, technical decisions, budgets, and delivery plans.

- Define solution architecture, data models, workflows, governance standards, and technical roadmaps for Polarion.

- Lead cross-functional teams across Product Engineering, IT, Quality, Compliance, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and external partners.

- Manage program risks, dependencies, issues, change requests, and operational readiness across multiple products and teams.

- Lead and mentor ALM technical resources, organize workloads, and drive adoption of engineering and platform best practices.

- Evaluate business requirements and determine when Polarion configuration is appropriate versus custom development, ensuring maintainability and platform stability.

- Oversee customization of Polarion Work Items, LiveDocs, project templates, workflows, widgets, and extensions.

- Design and oversee integrations between Polarion and enterprise platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Jira, Git, and CI/CD tools.

- Lead data mapping, cleansing, and migration of historical requirements and engineering data from legacy ALM/requirements platforms into Polarion.

- Provide technical leadership for platform development, customization, integration, upgrades, and production support.

- Monitor platform stability, performance, release predictability, adoption, and overall solution health.

- Define and track program and platform KPIs and provide regular reporting on program health, delivery status, release predictability, risks, and product quality to senior leadership.

- Drive Agile change management and ensure effective communication and readiness across impacted teams.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and finance teams to ensure solutions meet organizational standards.

- Identify opportunities to improve ALM processes, automation, integration, data quality, and engineering productivity.

- Mentor development and engineering teams on Polarion customization, integration, architecture, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Experience in ALM, software engineering, systems engineering, technical program delivery, or related technology roles.

- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Polarion ALM, including configuration, workflows, Work Items, LiveDocs, project templates, customization, and integrations.

- Experience with other ALM/requirements platforms such as IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, or similar tools.

- Strong understanding of ALM, requirements engineering, software development lifecycle, product lifecycle, and engineering governance.

- Experience designing and implementing enterprise ALM solutions across large and complex organizations.

- Strong technical knowledge of Java, XML, REST/web services APIs, and scripting or extension development relevant to Polarion.

- Experience integrating Polarion with PLM, issue-tracking, source-control, and CI/CD platforms, including Teamcenter, Jira, and Git.

- Experience leading data migration and integration initiatives involving requirements and engineering data.

- Strong understanding of embedded systems development, systems engineering, and software deployment practices.

- Experience working across Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery environments.

- Experience in global, distributed, or highly matrixed manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial organizations.

- Strong program governance, risk management, dependency management, and change management capabilities.

- Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
