Airblack - Product Manager

What would you be doing- :

- Own the product roadmap for a rocketship growing 100% MoM.

- We're at 1M MAU and need to hit 5M in 6 months without breaking things.

- AI-powered product strategy : Define and ship AI-first features such as personalized learning paths, smart recommendations, conversational tutors and automated assessments.

- Drive hyper-growth metrics : Own user growth and engagement.

- Drive improvements in user retention across all time horizons.

- Optimize free-to-paid conversion.

- Reduce customer acquisition costs through product-led growth while increasing lifetime value.

- Run experiments at scale : Ship experiments across onboarding, discovery, engagement and monetization.

- Build a robust testing framework for rapid prototyping and testing.

- Scale the platform : Build creator tools and AI-assisted content workflows to 10x content velocity.

- Design marketplace dynamics matching algorithms, quality scoring, discovery, creator incentives.

- Expand to 30+ categories.

- Create features that improve with scale (network effects, data moats, content flywheel).

- Lead cross-functional teams : Work directly with founders on strategy and OKRs.

- Lead pods of 8-10 people across engineering, design, analytics, growth, content.

- Establish product culture : user obsession, bias for speed, data-driven decisions, extreme ownership.

What makes you a suitable candidate- :

Core background :

- 4 to 10 years in product, with 3+ years at high-growth consumer startups (spaces such as consumer AI, edtech, social/content, travel, fintech, marketplace preferred).

- Proven 0-1 and 1-100 experience shipped products from scratch and scaled to millions.

- Track record of impact with numbers : "increased retention by 35%", "drove $2M ARR".

- Built and shipped AI/ML features (recommendations, personalization, NLP, LLM applications).

- Have done cross-functional execution in the past : aligned eng, design, growth, content around shared goals.

- Strong preference for ex-entrepreneurs or ex-software engineers looking to transition to product.

- Strong preference for Tier-1 education background.

- Deep understanding of Tier 2/3 India users (lived experience or strong empathy).

Expertise :

- Can understand system architecture, and discuss technical trade-offs with engineers.

- Strong data skills write SQL, analyze data, understand statistics and A/B testing.

- Expert in analytics tools (Mixpanel/Amplitude), SQL, experimentation platforms.

- Hypothesis-driven approach to features and experiments.

- Deep understanding of unit economics, LTV : CAC, payback periods.

- Mobile-first DNA with iOS/Android expertise.
