About The Role :

AiFA Labs is looking for a highly experienced SAP ABAP Technical Lead to drive SAP ECC and S/4HANA technical delivery while contributing to the development of our AI-powered SAP SDLC platform.

This role combines hands-on ABAP development, technical leadership, SAP S/4HANA transformation, and modern SAP development practices.

The ideal candidate will also collaborate with AI engineering teams to help build intelligent solutions for SAP development automation and governance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end SAP ABAP development across ECC and S/4HANA projects.

- Design, develop, review, and optimize scalable ABAP solutions using modern development practices.

- Lead custom code migration, remediation, and optimization for SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.

- Develop solutions using ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, SAP Gateway, BAPI, RFC, IDoc, Enhancements, and SAP Workflow.

- Define and review Technical Design Specifications (TDS), Functional Specifications (FS), development standards, and code review guidelines.

- Mentor development teams and ensure adherence to SAP coding standards, governance, and quality best practices.

- Promote SAP Clean Core principles and modern extensibility using SAP BTP and ABAP Cloud where applicable.

- Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants, Enterprise Architects, and AI Engineering teams to improve SAP development productivity and automation.

- Validate AI-generated SAP artifacts, code, documentation, and development recommendations to ensure compliance with SAP standards.

- Support performance tuning, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder communication.

Required Skills :

- 8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.

- Strong experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformation projects.

- Expertise in :

1. ABAP Objects (OO ABAP).

2. Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms.

3. BAPI, RFC, IDoc.

4. CDS Views.

5. AMDP.

6. OData Services & SAP Gateway.

7. SAP Workflow.

- Strong knowledge of custom code migration, SAP development lifecycle, transport management, and SAP development governance.

- Experience with SAP Clean Core, S/4HANA remediation, and performance optimization on SAP HANA.

- Working knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or PP.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud (Steampunk), or SAP Build.

- Exposure to AI-assisted development, code governance platforms, or developer productivity tools.

- SAP ABAP and/or SAP S/4HANA certification is an added advantage.
