Role : AI & Data Product Manager Core Platforms
(MidSenior Level)
Experience : 59 years (with strong AI/Data exposure)
About the Role :
It, were building a common AI + Data platform that powers multiple products across test prep, learning, counselling, and growth. This role sits at the heart of that platform.
You will own AI-first products like :
- AI Voice Counsellors / Voice Bots
- Doubt Solvers (LLM + Retrieval + Agentic workflows)
- Agentic frameworks for operations, content, and growth
- Data-driven PLG systems (activation, retention, monetisation)
This is not a feature PM role.
This is a 0?1 and 1?10 platform role where ambiguity is high, stakes are real, and speed matters.
If youre looking for a structured backlog and fixed hours, this is not the job.
If you enjoy building things that didnt exist yesterdayyou will enjoy this journey.
What Youll Do :
1. Own AI & Data Products End-to-End
- Define product vision and roadmap for core AI and data layers
- Translate business problems into AI-first product opportunities
- Balance short-term impact with long-term platform thinking
2. Own Core Data Foundations & Data Products
- Design and evolve the core data architecture that powers analytics, PLG, and AI systems
- Own data planning across event schemas, source-of-truth definitions, and data contracts
- Define and manage data marts, feature stores, and semantic layers for business, growth, and AI use cases
- Establish canonical metrics, funnels, and KPIs across products and teams
- Ensure data is reliable, timely, explainable, and usablenot just collected
- Work with engineering to enforce data quality, lineage, and governance standards
- Close the loop between data ? AI outputs ? user behavior ? data systems
3. Build AI Products That Actually Work in Production
Ensure AI systems are built on strong data foundationsclean inputs, traceable outputs, and feedback loops into data systems
- Design and ship products using :
1. LLMs (prompting, fine-tuning, evaluation)
2. RAG systems
3. Voice AI (ASR, TTS, conversational flows)
4. Agentic workflows and orchestration :
- Work closely with ML, data, backend, and frontend teams to move fast
- Build for Bharat - masses & having real internet problems (patchy network, limited data)
4. Be the Glue Between Business, Data & Engineering :
- Partner with growth, sales, academics, and operations to identify use cases
- Convert fuzzy ideas into clear PRDs, system flows, and success metrics
- Make trade-offs between accuracy, cost, latency, and UX
5. Drive PLG Using Data & AI
- Design data flows that enable :
1. Activation nudges
2. Personalised journeys
3. Conversion & retention loops
- Define metrics, experimentation frameworks, and feedback loops
6. Ship Fast, Learn Faster :
- Run experiments, measure outcomes, iterate aggressively
- Kill ideas that dont work, double down on what does
- Own outcomes, not just outputs
What Were Looking For :
Must-Have Skills & Experience :
- 5 to 9 years of Product Management experience
- Strong experience in Data Products, AI Products, or Platform Products
- Hands-on understanding of :
1.LLMs, prompts, RAG, embeddings
2. ML/AI product lifecycle (training ? deployment ? monitoring)
3. Data pipelines, event design, data modeling, data marts, and analytics
4. Designing metrics, funnels, and experimentation frameworks on top of data warehouses/lakes
5. Understanding of how data quality, freshness, and schema decisions impact ML/AI outcomes
- Comfortable writing detailed PRDs, flows, and success metrics
- Ability to work in high ambiguity, low structure environments
Strongly Preferred :
- Experience with Voice AI / Conversational AI
- Built or shipped AI agents or workflow automation
- Worked in EdTech, SaaS, Media, Consumer Tech, or PLG businesses
- Prior startup or scale-up experience (fast growth, messy systems)
Mindset & Culture Fit (Non-Negotiable) :
- Builder mentality > slide-deck mentality
- Comfortable with long days when needed (this is not a 95 role)
- High ownership : my problem and problems waiting to be killed with AI mindset
- Curious about AI beyond headlinesactually tinkers
- Can challenge business, tech, and leadership with logic and data
- Bias for action, not perfection
What Youll Get :
- Opportunity to build AI systems used by millions
- Direct impact on revenue, growth, and user outcomes
- High visibility with leadership and founders
- Fast learning curve across AI, data, and business
- Competitive compensation + performance upside (for the right person)
Why This Role Is Hard (and Exciting) :
- Requirements will change
- Models will break
- Data will be messy
- Deadlines will be aggressive
- Youll often need to fix data foundations before AI can workand still deliver outcomes fast
