Job Title : PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support our flagship product Claimbook and other critical projects. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Database Design & Implementation : Design and implement PostgreSQL database solutions tailored to application requirements.
- Query Optimization : Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Performance Tuning : Analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Data Integrity : Ensure data consistency and accuracy across staging, development, and production environments.
- Security Management : Implement robust database security protocols, including role-based access controls and permission management.
- Backup & Recovery : Develop and execute effective backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with developers, product managers, QA, and other stakeholders to understand database needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Monitoring & Maintenance : Monitor database health, resolve issues, and perform regular database maintenance.
- ETL Development : Design and implement efficient ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation for internal teams and audits.
- Continuous Learning : Stay up to date with the latest PostgreSQL advancements, best practices, and tools.
Required Skills :
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database architecture and administration
- Expertise in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and performance tuning
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin, pgBackRest, WAL-G, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
