Aara Tech - Senior Software Engineer - Backend Java Development

Description :

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend - Java) with very strong expertise in Databases and SQL, along with solid Core Java development skills. The ideal candidate will focus heavily on database design, SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning, while also contributing to Java backend development and Jira-based ticket management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance database solutions

- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions

- Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization

- Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient data modeling

- Work extensively with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server

- Support database-related debugging and issue resolution

- Develop and enhance backend applications using Core Java

- Manage tasks, bugs, and workflows using the Jira ticketing tool

- Provide limited production support when required

- Work in a rotational shift environment

Required Skills :

- Strong to Advanced SQL and Database Expertise

- Proven experience in database design, performance tuning, and optimization

- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server)

- Proficiency in SQL development, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing

- Solid understanding of Core Java development

- Experience working with Jira Ticketing Tool

- Ability to analyze and resolve database performance issues

- 5-6 years of relevant backend and database-focused experience

Nice to Have :

- Experience integrating Java applications with databases (JDBC / Hibernate / JPA)

- Familiarity with Spring Boot and REST APIs

- Exposure to production support and troubleshooting

Note :

Job requires rotational shift

Benefit :

You will be required to work from office for first 2-3 months and later basis performance it will be a hybrid model
