Java Developer - Spring Boot/Microservices - Contractual

CONTRACT POSITION :

- Experience in software development using the Java programming language including the use of some IDE with a solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining a software product.

- Experience in architecting and implementing highly scalable, high throughput web applications and cloud-based backend systems

- Working Experience in Java/ Spring Framework etc

- Experience in Microservices

- Experience in API development and consumption

- REST, JSON, XML

- Knowledgeable in a subset of the following physical infrastructure domains:

- Storage, network, compute, virtualization.

- Knowledge and experience of common software development tool sets, such as:

- GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, etc.

- Extensive working experience of programming in Java, J2EE, Spring (Core, Boot, Cloud), Hibernate and SOAP/REST based Web Services. Should also have good knowledge in HTML5, JSON, CSS, JavaScript and Angular JS.

- Experience in SQL/ No SQL Databases including PostgreSQL DB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc. is required.

- Technical understanding of CI/CD concepts technologies including Jenkins, Maven is required

- Exposure to mature development processes including use of source code control systems like Git is required.

- Basic understanding of Linux, Virtualization and Cloud technologies.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Preferences :

- Knowledge of PCF is a plus

- Domain knowledge on CI/Data Center is a plus

- Knowledge of Agile development methodology is a plus

- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments is a plus

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Work experience with an enterprise software or web company is important
