Software Engineer

Must-Have Technical Skills : - Demonstrable expertise in building full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js. - Expert-level proficiency in Angular (version 2+), including components, modules, services, routing, state management, and performance optimization. - In-depth experience with MongoDB database design, querying, optimization, and administration. - Strong command of Node.js for backend development, including asynchronous programming, event loop, and various modules. - Proven hands-on experience with both NestJS (preferred for new development) and Express.js frameworks for building scalable APIs and microservices. - Proficient in using Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitHub, and BitBucket for source code management and collaborative development. - Hands-on experience with widely used ticketing and project management tools such as TFS Azure DevOps (ADO) and ServiceNow for task tracking, defect management, and workflow automation. - Extensive experience in developing and architecting multi-tier Internet/Intranet applications, understanding how different layers interact and contribute to the overall system. - Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the entire MEAN stack efficiently and effectively. Good knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and ITIL/SOP based processes : - Understanding of structured development methodologies and IT service management principles. - Hands-on experience in support and/or maintenance of multi-tier applications : Ability to perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and manage production support activities for critical applications. - Proven ability to collaborate effectively across geographical locations and cultural boundaries. - Ability to analyze complex problems, propose solutions, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision. - Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on time. Good-to-Have Technical Skills : - Familiarity with frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, or other backend frameworks (e.g. Python/ Django/ Flask) for broader architectural understanding. - Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar for data visualization and reporting. - Deeper understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) in a support and/or maintenance context for multi-tier web applications. Responsibilities : - Lead the design, development, and deployment of new features and enhancements for existing multi-tier web applications using the MEAN stack. - Write robust, scalable, and well-tested code for both frontend (Angular) and backend (Node.js, NestJS, Express.js) components. - Design and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries for high performance. - Develop and consume RESTful APIs and contribute to a microservices architecture. - Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. - Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts for complex production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution. - Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of the applications. - Contribute to architectural discussions and provide technical insights for system design and improvements. - Manage codebase effectively using TFS, GitHub, and BitBucket. - Utilize TFS ADO, ServiceNow, or similar tools for managing tasks, defects, and releases. - Adhere to SDLC and ITIL/SOP based processes for development, support, and maintenance activities. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers within the team. - Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in MEAN stack development and related technologies.
