Requirements : - 1 years of Core software engineering experience in a product startup. - Hands-on development experience with at least 2 programming languages, including dynamically typed and object-oriented languages, preferably Ruby and JAVA. - Working experience with web development frameworks, preferably Ruby on Rails and SpringBoot. - Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and advanced concepts. - Experience working on scalable systems to handle billions of requests is an additional factor which can distinguish you from other candidates. - Ability to write code/APIs with DRY/KISS and SOLID principles in mind. - Experience in writing unit integration tests with good code coverage. - Hands-on experience in designing and working with microservices. - A proactive approach to leveraging AI in software development, with an eagerness to explore and implement AI-assisted workflows for enhanced productivity and problem-solving. Role Overview : As a Front-End SDE-2 at FloBiz, you will take ownership of feature development, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality code standards. You will translate product requirements and high-fidelity designs into performant, maintainable front-end code, while mentoring junior developers and driving engineering excellence. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Analytics teams to deliver seamless, user-centric experiences across web and desktop platforms. Responsibilities : - Apply AI-powered development tools to boost quality, velocity, and consistency in day-to-day development (e.g. Cursor). - Own end-to-end implementation of front-end features and modules with minimal supervision. - Maintain high code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning. - Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross-platform compatibility. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. - Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring to align product, engineering, and team goals. - Take full ownership of delivery outcomes, including edge cases, performance, and post-release stability - Independently troubleshoot production issues, diagnose root causes, and implement long-term fixes - Stay current with the latest AI/tech advancements and proactively share relevant tools, workflows, or insights with the team to enhance productivity and foster a learning culture. Requirements : - 3+ years of experience in front-end development, preferably in B2B products. - Solid experience in Angular(v14+ preferred) or React. - Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript. - Strong feature ownership mindset able to estimate accurately, plan iterations, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision. - Ability to troubleshoot and disambiguate issues independently, applying both creative thinking and technical rigor. - Effective communicator who practices clear documentation, proactive collaboration, and cross-functional alignment. Additional Preferred Skills : While the following skills are not mandatory, experience in any of these areas will be considered an advantage : - Experience with Micro Frontend architectures i.e. independently deployable modules, integration strategies (e.g., Single-SPA, Module Federation). - Hands-on experience with web-based ML/NLP models (e.g., using Transformers.js, running models like DistilBERT/TinyBERT in-browser for tasks like intent classification, NLU, etc.). - Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases. - Experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js, Java, Ruby, or Python. - Exposure to Electron framework for building desktop applications. - Knowledge of Web sockets and socket clients for real-time communication. - Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and familiarity with testing libraries like Jasmine and Karma.
