Job Description : We are looking for a developer to maintain and modernize a legacy ASP Classic / ASP.NET, MVC application integrated with Rockets UniVerse database. The role involves improving CI/CD pipelines, managing IIS configurations, enhancing site security, and reducing manual deployment errors. You will work to stabilize the existing system while contributing to long-term modernization efforts. Experience with ASP Classic, ASP.NET, MVC, and Windows-based hosting is essential. Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset are key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities : - Analyze, stabilize, and improve a legacy ASP Classic / ASP.NET MVC application integrated with Rockets RedBack/UniVerse multivalue database. - Design and implement secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (IIS, Git-based flows, etc.) - Improve site security, manage configurations, and reduce error-pronemanual deployments. - Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to map a path toward modernization while maintaining legacy compatibility. In this role, you will lead modernization efforts across a legacy VB6/WinForms product, with early focus on reporting, and long-term transition to a modern, SaaS-ready architecture. Key Responsibilities : - Collaborate on the gradual replacement of Crystal Reports with web-based reporting solutions. - Analyze and enhance a complex legacy .NET 4.x / VB6 system, identifying safe modernization paths. - Design modular, modern components using PostgreSQL, Node.js, Python, and React. - Partner with QA, product, and leadership to reduce risk while improving product velocity and stability. - Help build a sustainable modernization strategy (Strangler Fig pattern), preserving schema compatibility and avoiding downtime.
