Job Description : AWS Platform Developer

Location : Bangalore and Hyderabad

Shift timings : 6:30PM - 3:30AM

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Platform Developer with strong expertise in full-stack development, cloud integration, and internal developer platform (IDP) engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing developer productivity by building platform capabilities, automation workflows, golden paths, and observability tooling. This role requires strong technical depth across React, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Full-Stack Platform Development :

- Develop UI extensions and custom plugins using React and TypeScript for the Internal Developer Portal (Backstage).

- Build backend services and integrations using Node.js, Express, and API-based architectures.

- Implement reusable components, catalogs, templates, and workflow tools to improve developer experience.

2. AWS Cloud & CI/CD Integrations :

- Integrate Backstage with a wide range of AWS services (IAM, Lambda, EKS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3, etc.).

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including automation for deployments, provisioning, and approvals.

- Connect platform components with Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and ensure secure, scalable platform operations.

- Support cloud resource onboarding, access management, and governance automation.

3. Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineering :

- Build and maintain golden paths, scaffolding templates, and standardized service blueprints.

- Implement service scorecards, API discovery tooling, and metadata cataloging for better visibility and governance.

- Develop self-service features enabling teams to provision infrastructure, services, and pipelines.

- Create dashboards and workflows that improve productivity, reduce onboarding time, and streamline delivery across engineering teams.

4. Platform Automation, Reliability & Observability :

- Implement authentication and authorization flows using SSO/OAuth, RBAC, and identity providers.

- Integrate observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch for platform health and SLA monitoring.

- Develop automated workflows to ensure platform reliability, including self-healing scripts, automated checks, and continuous monitoring.

- Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and security teams to enforce best practices and maintain platform stability.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong expertise in React + TypeScript for frontend platform development.

- Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express, and backend integrations.

- Deep understanding of AWS services, cloud-native architecture, and infrastructure automation.

- Experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD practices, and IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform preferred).

- Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS), containerization, and cluster integrations.

5. Self-service portal development

- Knowledge of platform authentication (SSO/OAuth, OIDC) and access models.

- Experience with observability and monitoring stacks : Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch.

- Strong understanding of backend systems, microservices, and API-first design.
