ServiceNow ITOM, CMDB & ITAM Architect

Experience Required : 10- 12 years in ITOM/CMDB/ITAM, including 5+ years in architecture and solution design roles.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Architect specializing in ITOM, CMDB, and ITAM to lead end-to-end architectural design, governance, and optimization of enterprise ServiceNow implementations.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert in Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Asset Management, and platform integrations, with a strong foundation in ITIL and enterprise data models.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Solution Design :

- Architect enterprise-wide solutions across CMDB, ITOM, and ITAM modules.

- Design scalable systems for :

1. Discovery

2. Service Mapping

3. Event Management

4. Asset Management (HAM/SAM)

- Develop high-level architecture (HLA), workflows, and integration frameworks aligned with enterprise IT strategy.

Module Configuration & Customization :

- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules and workflows.

- Integrate CMDB/ITOM/ITAM with ITSM, procurement, finance, and cloud platforms.

- Optimize discovery schedules, probe configurations, and mapping accuracy.

CMDB Governance & Data Quality :

- Establish CMDB governance models, data quality rules, naming standards, and reconciliation strategies.

- Implement CSDM and align CMDB relationships with application and service models.

- Build dashboards to track CMDB health, ageing, completeness, and service accuracy.

ITAM Strategy & Compliance :

- Define and implement ITAM policies to ensure audit readiness, license optimization, and compliance posture.

- Oversee software asset management (SAM) and hardware asset management (HAM) operations.

- Ensure accurate tracking of assets across the lifecyclefrom procurement to retirement.

Dashboards, Reporting & Optimization :

- Build actionable dashboards for :

1. CMDB health

2. Discovery accuracy

3. Application performance

4. Asset tracking

- Identify gaps and drive continuous improvements in CMDB/ITOM/ITAM processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership :

- Work closely with cross-functional IT, operations, procurement, and business teams.

- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and best-practice recommendations.

- Support governance meetings, technical reviews, and roadmap planning.

Required Skills :

- 10- 12 years of hands-on experience in ITOM, CMDB, ITAM, with 5+ years in ServiceNow architecture.

- Strong knowledge of :

- Strong ITIL understanding (incident, problem, change, service asset & configuration management).

- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications :

- ServiceNow CIS Discovery / ITOM / ITAM

- ITIL MP / ITIL Expert

- SAM Professional Certification
