RoundCircle - Senior Principal Engineer - Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

Job Summary :

The Principal Engineer(AI) at Wyzard will be the driving force behind our engineering team, leading the development and delivery of our platform.

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset and team building.

You will be responsible for setting the technical vision, scaling the engineering team, and ensuring the successful execution of our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Architect and build highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions from the ground up.

- Provide technical direction and drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, AI/ML integration, and cloud infrastructure.

- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions for our marketplace.

- Conduct code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and other engineering leaders, to align on technical strategies and business goals.

- Mentor and guide engineers at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

- Act as a subject-matter expert in AI and software engineering for the organization.

Innovation & Problem Solving :

- Identify technical opportunities to innovate and improve the platform's performance, usability, and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across various layers of the stack.

Requirements :

Technical Skills :

- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling complex systems from scratch.

- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar.

- Deep knowledge of system design, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API development.

- Experience with Generative AI, including transformers or LLM project work with frameworks, including Huggingface, LangChain, or GPT/LLama.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience in data engineering, pipelines, and handling large-scale data for AI projects is a plus.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and guide teams through ambiguity and complexity.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice-to-Have :

- Knowledge of MLOps practices, including model monitoring, retraining, and deployment.

- Contributions to open-source projects or patents in AI/ML or related fields.
