Title and Summary
Lead Product Manager - Technical
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to define, prioritize, and deliver technical products that enhance SDLC and DevOps workflows.
- Act as the bridge between product vision and technical execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, guiding Scrum teams to deliver maximum value in the correct priority order.
- Write clear, actionable features and user stories that reflect both business needs and technical feasibility.
- Advocate for developer experience improvements by understanding pain points and delivering solutions that increase efficiency and reliability.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders and driving adoption of best practices across multiple teams.
- Proven experience in product management, including backlog ownership, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
- Hands-on technical expertise in DevOps/DevSecOps, with a strong track record of designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for large enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and related automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment strategies across VMs and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef, Chef Habitat, and Ansible.
- Working knowledge of how applications built in Java SpringBoot, Python, Go, .NET/C#, Rust, etc., are packaged and deployed using modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with mobile app DevOps, including build and deployment to App Store and Play Store.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear product requirements.
- Deep understanding of Agile Scrum practices, with experience collaborating closely with engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and articulate technical concepts in business terms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers, project management, software engineering, and network operations, to gather database requirements, improve existing systems, and develop new systems.
- Install and upgrade database systems, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Implement and maintain robust database security measures, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
- Design and support 24x7 high-availability solutions for seamless database operations.
- Optimize database and server performance by analyzing and configuring physical server hardware, operating systems, and database software settings. Provide recommendations for upgrades and new systems.
- Develop and optimize database components, including queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and conduct code reviews and optimizations to enhance performance.
- Execute database schema and code changes, perform bottleneck analysis, and ensure efficient server/database performance, including recovery and restores when needed.
- Plan for system growth and scalability to accommodate future requirements.
- Ensure compliance with vendor license agreements to maintain legal and operational integrity.
- Handle various reporting and data export/import tasks, working with different formats like CSV, XML, and unstructured data.
- Document the database environment, processes, and best practices to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Provide technical support and prompt problem resolution to address any database-related issues.
- Be available for production/on-call support to maintain continuous system availability and address emergencies effectively.
- Be willing to learn new technologies and assist with architecture and design.
- Work efficiently within a high security environment (Ethoca is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified)
- Communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization.
-: Preferred Qualifications :-
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including deployment and CI/CD integration.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to security automation and compliance in CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for monitoring and performance optimization.
- Prior experience in leading technical product teams or mentoring junior product managers.
- Industry Certifications (one or more):
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Pragmatic Institute Certification for product management.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Docker Certified Associate.
