Job Description

Role Summary :


The BI & Analytics Lead will own the end-to-end data architecture and BI implementation without building an in-house data engineering team. This role will manage external BI/data development agencies, define the data strategy and deliver self-service dashboards and reports to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities :


Data Strategy & Architecture :


- Audit and map all critical data sources (CRM, e-commerce, POS/concessions)

- Define a unified data schema and select the appropriate data warehouse and ETL/ELT tools


Vendor Management :


- Draft clear RFPs/SOWs and evaluate proposals from 35 specialized BI agencies

- Negotiate contracts, SLAs and oversee external delivery milestones, code reviews and data-quality checks


BI Implementation :


- Set up and configure a BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) with real-time dashboards

- Design data models, KPIs, metrics and self-service reporting layers for various business functions


Analytics & Insights :


- Perform trend analyses, anomaly detection and cohort reporting

- Present insights and regular performance reviews to the CFO/COO/CEO


Data Governance & Quality :


- Establish data-quality checks, version control (Git, CI/CD for analytics) and documentation standards

- Train internal power users on self-service reporting best practices


Stakeholder Engagement :


- Translate business requirements into technical deliverables

- Liaise with merchandising, sales, marketing and finance teams to prioritize analytics use cases


Required Qualifications & Skills :


- 6-10 years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Data Strategy, preferably in retail or fashion.

- Hands-on expertise with at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and advanced SQL skills.

- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery) and ETL frameworks.

- Proven track record of managing third-party BI/data development agencies from RFP to delivery.

- Strong business acumen in retail/fashion metrics: SKU hierarchies, promotions, margins, sales analysis.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or MBA with analytics focus.
