IDS Next - Database Administrator - SQL Server

Description :

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Database Preparation : Prepare databases based on assigned shipments, which includes verifying raw data, preparing Excel template sheets, importing, and performing manual entries.

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Conduct UAT of databases after deployment, covering basic operations testing, voucher printing, logo changes in vouchers, and modifying Crystal Vouchers.

- Documentation & Handover : Print related parameters, masters, vouchers, and reports, then hand them over to the Executive managing the project for verification.

- Training : Provide training to newly hired team Executives and to customers (online or offline).

- Issue Resolution & Escalation : Document cases and resolve them or escalate to development, following up for solutions to ensure on-time project delivery.

- Reporting & Planning : Maintain weekly activity logs for all work carried out and submit a bi-weekly plan for review.

- Product Installation : Perform product installations, including SQL Server Installation, Fortune Server Setup Installation, Fortune Client Installation, and restoration of databases, interface controllers, etc.

SKILLS :

- 1 to 3 years of experience working with MS SQL.

- Proven experience as a mid-level Database Administrator.

- Proficient in uploading data from Excel to SQL

- Strong understanding and capability in managing Excel macros and spreadsheet administration.

- Work experience as an administrator with PMS, POS, Finance, Inventory systems, HR Payroll, Sales and Catering systems.

- Knowledge of hospitality department operations.

- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL concepts.

- Proficient problem-solving capabilities and strong logical reasoning skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to organise and plan work independently
