Role : Head of Department - Tech & Data Business

Position Overview :
Join our dynamic team as the Head of Department (HOD) in Tech & Data Business, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our tech and data strategy. As a senior leader in the organization, you will be responsible for three key business areas:
1. Tech Business : Oversee the development and operation of the company website, along with various marketing-related software linked to website.
2. Data Business : Manage all aspects supporting data-driven decision-making, including data analysis, data management, data engineering, and dashboard development.
3. CRM Business : Design CRM programs, communicate with customers to ensure smooth campaign operations, and manage related processes.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Leadership & Stakeholder Management :
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of data professionals, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and data governance specialists.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and IT teams to align data strategies with business strategies and technology initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data and analytics, providing guidance to senior management and the board.
2. Collaboration & Communication :
- Serve as a liaison between technology teams and other departments to ensure alignment on
business and technical requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
3. Technology Leadership :
- Develop and implement the company's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Lead and inspire the technology team to innovate and achieve organizational objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and evaluate their potential impact on the
company.
4. Budget & Resource Management :
- Develop and manage the technology departments budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Oversee technology procurement, vendor relationships, and partnerships.
5. -Strategy & Planning :
- Collaborate with other executives to define the companys overall business strategy and identify technological solutions to support it.
- Lead the development and execution of product and technology roadmaps, ensuring timely and successful delivery of technology initiatives.
6. Team Management & Development :
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Recruit top-tier talent, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet organizational demands.
7. Innovation & R&D :
- Promote and lead research and development (R&D) activities to bring new technologies, products, or services to market.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to determine their potential for enhancing company offerings or creating new business opportunities.
8. Data Strategy Development & Execution :
- Lead the development and execution of the companys data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Define and drive data governance policies, data quality standards, and data lifecycle management practices.
- Foster a data-driven culture across the organization, empowering all business functions to leverage data in decision-making.
9. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence :
- Drive advanced analytics initiatives, including predictive analytics, AI, machine learning, and data visualization to support key business decisions.
- Ensure the organization is making the best use of data, promoting insights that can optimize performance and profitability.
- Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards, reports, and other data-driven solutions for executives and departments.
10. Technology & Infrastructure Oversight :
- Oversee the design and execution of the companys data architecture, including the integration of disparate data sources across various platforms (cloud, on-premises, etc.).
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of data management and analytics tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure scalability, security, and performance of data systems.
11. Innovation & Continuous Improvement :
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation in data analytics, data engineering, and
AI/ML applications.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in data technologies, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring the company remains competitive.
Required Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : 15+ years of experience in data management, data governance, data science, or a similar field, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing data strategies that drive business value.
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, and data privacy frameworks.
- Deep understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies.
