We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Governance Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC). The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining enterprise data governance standards, metadata management, and data quality initiatives. Experience with Axon Data Governance or similar data governance/data catalog tools is preferred. This role requires close collaboration with data engineering, business, and compliance teams to ensure high-quality, trusted, and well-governed data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive data governance initiatives by defining and enforcing policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to capture metadata, business definitions, data ownership, and stewardship details.
- Manage and maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and taxonomy frameworks.
- Assist in designing data lineage and impact analysis to support compliance, audits, and change management processes.
- Perform regular catalog enrichment, metadata curation, and quality checks.
- Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to align governance initiatives with data pipelines and enterprise architecture.
- Support governance-related reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
- Facilitate training sessions and awareness programs on data governance tools and processes.
Required Qualifications :
- 2 years mandatory hands-on expertise with Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance & Catalog).
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and governance frameworks.
- Experience working with data stewards, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to implement governance processes.
- Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling fundamentals.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Familiarity with Informatica IICS components such as Data Quality (IDQ), MDM, or Integration Cloud.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, etc.) and data privacy frameworks.
- Experience working in cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Relevant certifications in Informatica, Data Governance, or Data Management.
