Role : Principal Software Engineer Data Platform Modernization

Location : Hyderabad or Pune (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the modernization of our enterprise data platform and drive the adoption of next-generation data technologies.

In this role, you will design and build scalable, high-performance systems using ClickHouse, AWS, and Kubernetes, shaping the foundation of our modern analytics infrastructure.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to architect and deliver reliable, secure, and efficient software solutions that power data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and development of distributed systems and services leveraging ClickHouse, AWS (S3, Aurora, Lambda, etc.), and Kubernetes.

- Architect and implement scalable microservices using Golang, Java, or Ruby.

- Drive the modernization of the legacy data platform, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.

- Collaborate with platform, analytics, and product teams to define and deliver data-driven software solutions.

- Champion best practices for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native architecture.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues, ensuring high availability and resilience of core systems.

- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and guide the adoption of modern software engineering principles.

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have :

- Strong experience in software development with a proven record of delivering large-scale, production-grade systems.

- Hands-on expertise with ClickHouse, AWS, and Kubernetes.

- Strong programming skills in Golang, Java, or Ruby.

- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and performance optimization.

- Experience with Snowflake and DBT (Data Build Tool). (optional)
