Nimish Kulshrestha has spent over fourteen years doing something deceptively difficult: building products that people adopt before the market even has a name for them. From streaming profiles before Netflix offered the feature to hyperlocal delivery years ahead of the quick-commerce wave, his instinct has been to ship the future early. That instinct carried him from a founding seat at Jio through the supply-chain trenches of Unicommerce and Snapdeal, and into an eight-year run at Naukri.com where he rose to become the youngest Executive Vice President in the company’s history. Today, as Chief Business Officer for IIMJobs, Hirist, and NaukriGulf, he stewards the trio of premium recruitment brands that sit at the top of India’s hiring pyramid. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Guwahati, Nimish pairs analytical rigour with a storyteller’s feel for what users actually want.

Career Arc

Read Nimish’s career in reverse and you see a pattern hiding in plain sight. Each chapter—consumer telecom at Jio, warehouse logistics at Unicommerce and Snapdeal, platform transformation at Naukri.com—handed him exactly the toolkit the next act would demand. The thread connecting all of it is a rare ability to see around corners: to spot where a market is heading, build the product that belongs there, and scale it before competitors arrive. That thread now runs through three of India’s most respected premium hiring brands.

IIMJobs, Hirist & NaukriGulf Nov 2025 — Present

When Info Edge needed someone to unify three distinct brands under a single commercial vision, the brief landed on Nimish’s desk. As Chief Business Officer, he now owns strategy, revenue, and market expansion across the full premium hiring portfolio. IIMJobs serves as the flagship for senior management and leadership talent. Hirist anchors the technology vertical, connecting top-tier engineers and architects with roles that match their ambition. NaukriGulf extends Info Edge’s footprint into international markets across the Middle East. Tying these threads together requires more than operational oversight—it demands a leader who can think in platforms while speaking the language of each distinct talent community.

The confidence to take on that mandate was forged during an eight-year stretch that would redefine how Naukri.com thinks about its own product.

Naukri.com Aug 2017 — Oct 2025 (8 yrs 3 mos)

Nimish joined Naukri.com in 2017 as Vice President of Product Development with a deceptively narrow brief: grow the paid candidate services business. He doubled mobile revenue inside a year—and in the process revealed something the leadership team hadn’t fully reckoned with. The platform’s underlying architecture was holding back far more ambitious plays. What followed was a rare corporate arc: three promotions in four years, each one unlocked by the results of the last, making him the youngest Executive Vice President the company had ever appointed. In the EVP seat, Nimish tore open the hood. He led a ground-up rebuild of Naukri’s jobseeker experience—taxonomy, discovery, UX, monetisation—and evangelised what he called a recruitment “lingua franca”: a living knowledge graph weaving together millions of skills, titles, companies, and entity relationships. That data backbone became the launchpad for Naukri’s leap into generative AI, including Naukri 360 (a GenAI career-services vertical) and AI Rex, the company’s first autonomous recruiter agent. Along the way, he shepherded a team of 130-plus product professionals and oversaw Naukri’s first brand identity refresh in twenty-five years.

The comfort with large-scale system redesigns didn’t materialise overnight. It was earned in the trenches of Indian e-commerce.

Snapdeal Jan 2017 — Aug 2017 (8 mos)

Snapdeal promoted Nimish to Director of Product faster than any peer in his cohort—and then promptly handed him its most consequential system. Uniware was the warehouse-management backbone that processed the bulk of Snapdeal’s order volume, but it also moonlighted as a multi-channel SaaS platform trusted by external brands like Myntra and Lenskart to handle millions of shipments every month. Running both identities in parallel was already a high-wire act. Then the Indian government announced GST. Overnight, thousands of merchants needed their invoicing, taxation, and compliance workflows rewritten. Nimish marshalled his team through a round-the-clock migration sprint, delivering a seamless switchover that kept the platform’s uptime intact while the rest of the industry scrambled.

That composure under pressure was no accident. It had been rehearsed at Unicommerce, where the stakes were equally unforgiving.

Unicommerce Apr 2015 — Jan 2017 (1 yr 10 mos)

Nimish arrived at Unicommerce as a Senior Product Manager and left as Associate Director, but the title change only hints at the ground covered. Uniware—the SaaS platform that let sellers orchestrate inventory, orders, and shipping across thirty-plus marketplaces in real time—needed a wider funnel. Nimish designed a freemium “Lite” tier that slashed onboarding friction for smaller merchants and unlocked a wave of new sign-ups. He also built the lane-prioritisation engine behind Snapdeal Gold’s next-day delivery promise, a system that hit 99% SLA compliance across eighty cities. Perhaps most telling was a quieter experiment: a four-hour hyperlocal delivery pilot in Gurgaon called SD Instant. Quick commerce was still a phrase nobody used. Nimish was already testing its plumbing.

That willingness to build before the market catches up? It was learned in a boardroom where thinking small was never an option.

Jio (Reliance) May 2011 — Mar 2015 (3 yrs 11 mos)

Few product careers begin with an invitation to help design a service that will eventually touch half a billion users. Nimish’s did. As one of the earliest members of Jio’s product team, he started by working alongside Frog Design to map customer personas and blueprint the user experience for what would become India’s most disruptive telecom launch. He then moved into hands-on product management, shipping features that the broader industry wouldn’t adopt for years: multi-profile OTT streaming (before Netflix offered the same), unified cross-network data bundles (a forerunner of what Airtel later branded as Airtel Black), and Jio’s Rich Communication Services platform. He was in the room when leadership debated offering free voice calling as a market wedge—an audacious bet that reshaped Indian telecom overnight. It was here that Nimish developed his signature conviction: if you wait for the market to validate your idea, you’ve already lost the first-mover advantage.

In Their Words
"Hiring the top premium talent is shifting toward modern skills and business impact. AI fluency is becoming an important leadership capability, not just a technical skill, requiring stronger evaluation frameworks and deep candidate engagement."
Nimish Kulshrestha
Chief Business Officer at IIMJobs, Hirist & NaukriGulf

Technical Identity

Across five organisations and three distinct industries, Nimish has assembled a toolkit that few product leaders can claim. His expertise straddles product marketing, user-experience architecture, and data-driven market research. On the domain side, he carries deep fluency in telecom infrastructure (VoLTE, RCS), warehouse and supply-chain management systems, multi-channel SaaS platforms, and—most recently—AI-powered recruitment technology. He also holds a Smart Client & Smart Mobility Architect certification from Jio, a credential that speaks to the engineering depth beneath his strategic lens.
